White House Denounces 'Democrat Hoax' as More Jeffrey Epstein Photos Released
House Democrats have published a fresh batch of what they described as "alarming" images from the property of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, featuring among others Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and former British royal Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
The initial drop of 19 images—a portion of which have been seen before—plus another 70 unveiled later on Friday constitute a small number of the almost 100,000 images handed over to the House oversight committee, which is looking into the behavior and associations of Epstein.
The shamed investor was a victim of apparent suicide in a New York prison cell in 2019 after being charged with sex-trafficking crimes.
Prominent Personalities in the Photos
Featured among the notable figures seen in the first release are celebrities such as movie maker Woody Allen; Microsoft founder Bill Gates; and Richard Branson, originator of the Virgin business group.
Donald Trump is pictured in three of the initial 19 images. In one, he is pictured with six women, whose faces are obscured.
Administration Reaction
The White House reacted to the release in a official comment, alleging Democrats of purposefully "hand-picking" the photographs for electoral motives and to "try and create a false storyline."
"That partisan falsehood against President Trump has been repeatedly debunked," a presidential representative said, maintaining that "the Trump administration has achieved more for Epstein's survivors than Democrats have at any point by consistently demanding disclosure, making public reams of papers, and urging more inquiries into Epstein's liberal connections."
Democratic Lawmaker Comment
The images were disclosed lacking captions, but per a Democratic representative from California and senior member of the investigative panel, they elicit additional doubts about Epstein's associations with affluent people.
"It is time to end this White House obfuscation and deliver justice to the victims of Jeffrey Epstein and his powerful friends," he said in a release.
The disclosure of these documents occurs alongside the oversight committee proceeding with its investigation into the Epstein matter.
